Summer Style with Vionic Shoes!

One of the things I love about blogging is getting to know new companies and products. When Vionic approached me to see if I would like to try a pair of their Kirra backstrap sandals I had actually never owned a pair of their shoes before. I am officially hooked! I can honestly say that they are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever worn.

Vionic technology is biomechanically designed to hug your arches and support your feet to achieve maximum comfort. I was able to wear these sandals all day at the beach, chasing children and walking the promenade for lunch with zero discomfort. The combination of cute and comfortable is key for me when choosing my footwear nowadays! I already have my eyes on another style of shoe on their website 😉

My Rocksbox Jewelry Membership

I am a girl who LOVES her accessories. When I was younger my mom would always question if I left the house without earrings- like I was forgetting my pants or some other vital part of my clothing LOL! To this day I still don’t feel dressed without my jewelry. This is why I was so excited when Rocksbox reached out to see if I would like to try their service.

If you haven’t heard of this company before, Rocksbox is a jewelry membership service featuring top designers such as Kate Spade, Kendra Scott and Sophie Harper (just to name a few). You start by creating a Style Profile where you fill out your accessory preferences such as gold, silver, rose gold and particular trends you usually wear such as statement earrings, pendant necklaces, more delicate rings etc. You then create a Wishlist of jewelry that you like. A stylist selects 3 pieces at a time to send to you from your Wishlist. You can swap any or all of these selected pieces and give your final approval before they ship. You get to keep these 3 pieces as long as you wish or return and reorder as many times you want with your membership. The Rocksbox membership is a flat $21 a month and includes free shipping both ways. It is up to you how many different pieces you will be sporting in a month! Once you send your current box back, you can immediately select the pieces for your next box.

If you are someone like myself, I enjoy having beautiful and trendy jewelry. Rocksbox is the perfect way for me to stay accessorized without constantly spending a fortune to keep my accessories current and fresh. It is a super easy to use and affordable service. I have been receiving so many compliments on all of my jewels!

For my first month I selected my 3 pieces of jewelry all to be earrings as that is what I tend to accessorize with the most. I was really impressed that they were all in pristine condition. Each pair came bubble wrapped and their own little jewelry bag wrapped up in the cutest little box. If you end up falling in love with one of your pieces (or all of them!) you also have the option to purchase it. Just don’t included them when you ship the box back and you will simply be billed for the item. The great part about this is Rocksbox actually lets you apply your $21 monthly membership fee towards the purchase of your jewelry! I may or may not have been unable to part with the Wilde white beaded drop earrings below… 😉

Wooden Ships Gorgeous Knits

I had never actually heard of Wooden Ships before they reached out to me. I am committed to being 100% authentic with my blog so I read up on the company a bit before I accepted the collaboration. I absolutely love the story behind this company! Wooden Ships is a small family owned and run company that has been around since 1992. It was founded by Paola Buendía and her husband, Mark Donovan. They created the company “with the merging of many of her life-long loves – literature, travel, fashion, and the environment.” You can read more about the story behind their company here.

Their sweaters are absolutely gorgeous and have a laid back, slouchy, comfortable feel to them. I could tell as soon as I received my order that it was such good quality. It hung so nicely and was so soft. This sweater is the prefect weight for these upcoming Summer evenings! I also read that each sweater is made to order to reduce unwanted merchandise. I loved this commitment to reducing wasted materials. They also use simple packaging and eco-friendly oxo-degradable plastic bags. These bags are produced with an additive that makes the plastic decompose far more rapidly than normal plastic.

The Cutest Wedges from Blowfish Malibu!

I was so thrilled when Blowfish Malibu reached out to see if I would like to style a pair of their cute shoes! This is a company I have ordered footwear from before and I genuinely love the laid back vibe behind them and that they are actually cute and affordable!

I chose these LEEDS wedges as they seemed the most my style. Besides the obvious fact that I am obsessed with leopard, I loved that the wedge wasn’t sky high, more of a flatform. Not only are they cute, but they are probably one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I own! I walked around in them all afternoon and my feet were not sore in the least.

Spring Dress Inspiration

I have said it before, I am a sucker for a great floral print! I think this is probably why Spring is my favourite season. Not that I am floral exclusive in the Spring, but it is definitely a print that I am drawn to. I have even made my floral hating bff (I’m talking to you Amber… LOL) introduce a few subtle blooms into her wardrobe! I also adore lace, eyelet, polka dots, stripes, pastels… I guess I love it all! My Gorgeous Wooden Watch

I love a good statement accessory as much as the next person! Something that I can wear in my day-to-day life that is practical, yet still eye-catching and attractive. The Purpleheart wood has a naturally rich purple colour with a fine grain pattern. It is really soft on my wrist and so easy to wear. Five Trends to Try this Spring

Spring is in the air 🙂 Our temperature here in Vancouver has drastically improved this past week and I am SO excited for this season! I always love big and bold florals for Spring but there are a few other trends I am excited to try this year. I feel like animal print is still going to be everywhere, which I obviously LOVE and lace is always a seasonal favourite of mine as well. There are also a few other trends I noticed on the runways though that I think we are going to be seeing a lot of in the upcoming months.

Hair Accessories: I am SO on board with this trend. I am loving all of the cute barrettes, silk scarves, scrunchies and headbands that I am seeing everywhere!

2. Crochet: I cannot believe how much cute crochet there is available right now. From delicate details on a dress to entire bathing suits! Fun and festival inspired, I think we will be seeing a lot of it this Spring.

3. Neons: I grew up in the 90s so this is a style I can totally get on board with… LOL! These super vibrant shades were one of the biggest things I noticed during the Spring Fashion Week shows. 2019 is definitely going to be colourful!

4. Spring Suiting: This trend I absolutely adore! I have been seeing so many cute sorbet inspired boss babe suits popping up! It looks super chic and I will definitely be sporting this look to my office. Love love love!

5. Tie Dye: If I’m being honest, this was probably the hardest trend for me to get behind, but it is definitely persistent! You are never going to see me in an obnoxious multicoloured hooded sweatshirt, but I am starting to like some of the more subtle pieces I have seen out there.

Polka Dot Midi Skirt

One of my favourite Kate Spade quotes is “You can’t have a bad day in polka dots!” I have made it one of my fashion mantras.. LOL! I am a sucker for anything with a cute polka dot print. I feel like my closet might be getting a little full of black and white polka spots though… which is why I was so excited when I found this pretty blue and back polka dot skirt!

I feel like it is going to be one of those great Spring transitional pieces! It was actually snowing when we shot these photos so I wore it with my cozy turtleneck, but it will also be adorable with sandals and Spring tops as well! I adore its retro vibe 🙂
