One of my favourite Kate Spade quotes is “You can’t have a bad day in polka dots!” I have made it one of my fashion mantras.. LOL! I am a sucker for anything with a cute polka dot print. I feel like my closet might be getting a little full of black and white polka spots though… which is why I was so excited when I found this pretty blue and back polka dot skirt!
I feel like it is going to be one of those great Spring transitional pieces! It was actually snowing when we shot these photos so I wore it with my cozy turtleneck, but it will also be adorable with sandals and Spring tops as well! I adore its retro vibe 🙂
I feel like this has been the longest winter EVER! So naturally I started dreaming about tropical vacations and warmer weather. Which then lead me to looking at Spring clothing. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favourite finds, all of them under $50! There are so many cute items starting to appear in stores… bring on all the floral print!! 🙂

Please feel free to leave me a message in the comments if you have any questions about sizing! I hope you all had a lovely weekend… mine was nutty! This chambray shirt is one of my favourite and most versatile items in my closet. It is so easy to dress up or down. I love to throw it on with a pair of leggings when I’m home with the kids or pair it with jeans for a cute “Canadian tuxedo” kind of look 😉 One of my go to ways to wear it though, is tucked into various skirts. I’ve worn it with dressier minis, tulle ballet type skirts, colourful pleated midis and I love it with this white laser cut skirt.
Such an effortless and fun look! I have owned a handful of different chambray shirts and this one is by far my favourite. It is long enough to wear with leggings, actually stays tucked in place with pants or skirts and looks really cute knotted at the waist as well. The lightweight material is also perfect for throwing on overtop of a sundress during the Spring or Summer as well!
This soft, baby pink is one of my favourite colours to wear right now. To be honest I love most shades of pink, I’m not discriminatory… lol. Lately though, I have noticed this pretty blush colour starting to creep into my closet more and more! This particular skirt is so easy to wear. It is light weight, breezy and super feminine. The price is nice too :)) I have linked my particular outfit below as well as few other great items in this pretty pink if you are looking to add some blush to your summer lineup!
I love this colour so much and I can guarantee you are going to be seeing it a ton this Fall as well. It is soft enough that it is easy to coordinate with the cooler tones of next season… the tans, blues, browns and greys… so gorgeous!
One of my favourite recent purchases is this asymmetrical striped skirt. I love this bright blue for Spring and Summer. This particular skirt is super versatile in that I can fancy it up with a sleeveless blouse and cute heels when I want to feel a bit dressier, or wear it with a simple tank top and flip flops for a more casual vibe. The latter is literally my summer uniform this year. I love to throw on a cute midi skirt, light weight tank and sandals. It lets me feel a little bit dressed up while still being practical enough to play with my kids.
I love the layered ruffles on this particular skirt.
Our beautiful country is turning 150 years young on July 1st this year! I am so grateful to be Canadian and I love this gorgeous country. I will be spending Canada Day with my family, celebrating how fortunate we are to live here… eating some bacon covered with maple syrup, drinking Caesars & saying “Eh” as much as we can… lol! We will also be heading to some Canada Day festivities, soaking up some sunshine and proudly wear our red and white. There are so many fun outfits that can be put together for Canada Day depending on what you are doing. I have chosen some of my favourite items below!
