Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020!

So I know I say this every time, but you guys… The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is seriously epic this year!  If you are not familiar with what the hype is all about, unlike most sales which mark down older merchandise, it is NEW Fall items that are majorly discounted during this sale and then return to regular price at the end of the sale on August 31. So essentially, a PRE season sale of some of the bestselling brands!

It can actually be a bit overwhelming, so I have selected a few of my favourite, more reasonable items for this wish list! This is the time to snag yourself a pair of Spanx Faux Leather leggings… the cheapest they will ever be and they are such a wardrobe staple. My favourite Brixton Straw Hat is also included in the sale. Another popular item is the Barefoot Dreams blanket… this is a curl up on the couch on those dreary fall day staples. Also the best time to snag a pair of boots that will be on heavy rotation for the upcoming months. I have a hard time limiting myself to just one… so many cute options to choose from!

1. Ivory Baker Boy Hat: I have this hat in black + blush and wear them SO much! I love the ivory colour for Fall. Perfect for those bad hair days 😉 Sale: $31.90 After Sale: $49.00

2. My Only Sunshine Sweater: Comes in 4 colours + I love how chunky it is. So cute with jeans or for layering over slip dresses + skirts as a transition piece. Sale: $69.90 After Sale: $108.00

3. Long Sleeve Knit Midi Dress: This is probably #1 on my list. I am obsessed with midi dresses + this one looks so cozy + flattering! Sale: $35.90 After Sale: $55.00

4. Plaid Boyfriend Blazer: This could be a serious Fall staple for over jeans, dresses + leggings… another must have for me. Sale: $59.90 After Sale: $99.00

5. Puff Sleeve Midi Dress: I love a good Fall floral and the colours in this one are so fun. Would look super chic with a high black boot or beige ankle booties. Sale: $76.90 After Sale: $129.00

6. Print Long Sleeve Dress: Comes in 3 different prints but I always default to leopard… LOL! Such a steal and super cute. Sale: $31.90 After Sale: $55.00

7. Plaid Flannel Shirt: Already planning ahead to snag this shirt + show alllll the different ways to style it. You would be surprised at how cute an ordinary plaid shirt can be. Also I live in leggings all Fall + love the length of this one. Sale: $35.90 After Sale: $54.00

8. Print Tiered Miniskirt: I always snag a couple cute minis to wear with tights, high boots and cozy sweaters in the Fall months. And although the print on this one is called “dots” I see leopard…. right?!  Sale: $25.90 After Sale: $39.00

9. Barefoot Dreams Leopard Cardi: Essentially wearing a cozy blanket as a sweater… SOLD! Sale: $79.90 After Sale: $134.00

10. Ribbed Open Front Cardigan: This looks like the perfect cardigan and comes in 4 neutral colours. Wardrobe staple! Sale: $44.90 After Sale: $68.00 

11. Leopard Mule: I own a pair of leopard loafers and have worn them SO MUCH! I love the style of these ones… they also come in snakeskin so I’m a bit torn. Sale: $49.90 After Sale: $89.95

12. Fleece Jogger Pants: These joggers are so dang cute! Im planning on grabbing the purple + teal. I have worn all the joggers in my wardrobe NON STOP over the last few months so its definitely time to add a couple new pairs to the lineup. Sale: $24.90 After Sale: $45.00

13. Faux Leather Shirtdress: Two things I absolutely love- faux leather and shirtdresses… together at last! Looks like it might be a little on the short side so planning on pairing with tights. But seriously such a fun one. Sale: $49.90 After Sale: $78.00

14. Pointed Toe Booties: NEED NEED NEED! Literally the perfect ankle boot. I usually buy a pair of tan ankle boots every year because they go with everything. I am also loving the  ‘Bone Croco’ colour this pair comes in. Sale: $89.90 After Sale: $134.95

15. Raw Hem High Waist Skinny Jeans: I don’t actually own a pair of this brand of jeans, but these ones look super cute. I will only buy high waisted and they look like they would be really flattering. For this price I’m willing to give them a try! Sale: $28.90 After Sale: $39.00

When can you shop? Everyone can preview the sale as of July 24. Cardmembers with Icon, Ambassador or Influencer status will get Early Access. The higher your status, the earlier you can shop (see below!) All Nordstrom cardmembers can shop Early Access starting August 13. Anniversary Sale is open to everyone August 19–30. Prices go up August 31

You guys! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is SO GOOD this year!!! It is actually a bit overwhelming so I have selected a few of my favourite, more affordable items. But if you have been dreaming about a pair of Tory Burch riding boots (one of my absolute Fall staples) now is the time to snag them! This is the cheapest you will ever find Spanx Faux Leather leggings, another wardrobe must have of mine!

The 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

Can you even call yourself a blogger if you are not completely obsessed with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (also know as the #NSale)?!  I am sure you have already heard that the time is almost here & I am so excited about this sale. I can’t wait to share my picks 🙂  Early access shopping begins this Friday, July 12 until July 18 for Nordstrom card holders. It is not to late to apply… Having the card is really the key to gaining access to this amazing sale! The sale will then open to the public on Friday July 19 and runs until August 4.  Prices then go back to full price on August 5.

Why is the sale so amazing?

Unlike most sales which mark down older merchandise that isn’t selling, it is NEW Fall items that are majorly discounted during this sale and then return to regular price at the end of the sale on August 5. So essentially, a PRE season sale!  The brands featured are some of my favourites, such as Tory Burch, Rebecca Minkoff, Kendra Scott etc. not just the smaller, unknown ones!

My advice:

Take inventory and figure out what the holes in your upcoming Fall wardrobe are. A new pair of high waisted skinny jeans? A cute suede bootie that will be an absolute staple? Cozy cardigans and sweaters for when the temperature chills? Have you been eyeing up a new set of luggage? Now is the time to snag it!  Make a list ahead of time. Otherwise the deals can be overwhelming!

If there is something you  love, make sure you keeping checking back…. Nordstrom will often for restock or add additional inventory 🙂  Don’t get discouraged if it says the item is sold out.  It’s not over until it’s over… The sale runs until August 5th.  The most popular items will sell out quickly, so you have to have a strategy!

Checkout! If  you have managed to score an item that you want, complete your purchase!  Nordstrom has super easy & hassle free returns if you change your mind later.  Last year I played it too slow and went back to look for more… by the time I went back to actually checkout a few of my favorites had sold out!
