Colour Predictions for Fall 2018 Part 3

Last week I started my segment on Pantone’s Fashion Colour Trend Report predictions for Fall 2018.  I have discussed four colours so far: Red Pear and Valiant Poppy and Nebulas Blue and Ceylon Yellow.  Today I will be sharing fashion finds for the next two predicted shades: Martini Olive and Russet Orange.  These are probably my least two favourite of the colours only because they are the least flattering on my own personal skin tone… so selfish I know! LOL.  They would of course be gorgeous on anyone with a darker complexion than my own.

Colour Predictions for Fall 2018

One of my very favourite posts from last year was the series I did on Pantone’s Fashion Colour Trend report for Fall.  If you missed it, you can read about it here.  Essentially, the Pantone Institute will predict their top 10 colours for fashion in the upcoming season, based on what is seen at New York Fashion Week. The Pantone Fashion Colour Trend Report is in my mind one of the best sources of inspiration for the upcoming season’s  colour trends.  Below are the gorgeous colours they have chosen for Fall 2018.

Pantone 2018

(Image courtesy of the Pantone website)

I actually love this particular palette of colours. I previously posted about my obsession of all things lavender, or in this case, Crocus Petal.  Red Pear and Quetzal Green are definitely colours that are going to be dominant in my Fall lineup. I love their richness.  I personally have a hard time wearing shades like Ceylon Yellow, Martini Olive and Russet Orange because of my skin tone, but I think they are still super fun and look forward to seeing them on others this season.  Ultra Violet was actually Pantone’s Colour of the year which I previously blogged about here.  Nebulas Blue and Limelight are both super pretty and I appreciate how vibrant they are!  Overall I think the Pantone Institute has chosen a lovely selection of colours!

I have collected some articles of clothing and accessories in all of these colours if you are wanting to introduce any of them into your existing wardrobe for this Fall!  I will be posting two of the colour trends per post throughout the next few weeks, so make sure you check back!

PANTONE 19-1536 Red Pear

“Deliciously deep red, whose luscious depth entices.”

PANTONE 18-1549 Valiant Poppy

“Brave and outgoing red shade effusive in its allure.”

Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2018: Ultra Violet!

If you have been reading my blog for the last little while, you will remember I did a week-long feature of the Pantone Institute’s predictions for the top ten colours of this past Fall 2017.  If you missed it, you can read it here.  Well, a new year is upon us, and The Pantone Colour Institute has chosen their colour of 2018… Ultra Violet!

“The Pantone Color of the Year 2018, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet, is a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade. It communicates originality, ingenuity, and the visionary thinking we are seeking to create a meaningful direction for our future. Complex and contemplative, this creative, reflective and magical blue-based purple suggests the mysteries of the cosmos and the intrigue of what lies ahead in a time that requires inventiveness and imagination.”  (Description courtesy of the Pantone website.)

PANTONE 19-4029 Navy Peony

A mainstay for the season for both palettes, Navy Peony is a dependable and an anchoring shade. Solid and stable, the hue takes some of the load off of black as a go-to neutral. (Description courtesy of the Pantone website.)
