I absolutely love a good theme! Every year my girlfriends and I get together for an Academy Awards viewing party.  What started up as an evening of glamour eventually turned into a competition for who could find the most “beautiful” gown… and when I say beautiful, I mean garish… In fact, we now have a collection of dresses we will promptly change anyone who dares to show up in an actual stunning dress!

Everyone fills out a Ballot with their predictions. We print these off of the Oscar website HERE.  We have prizes for first, second, third place. Of course there is also a prize at our party for “best” dressed!

We have accumulated our decorations over the years.  There is always a red carpet for the girls to pose on, statues to have our photos with and lots of yummy food.  Most of the decorations have been hand crafted or purchased from Turkey’s Party Makers or Party City.

This party has become one of my very favourite traditions with my girlfriends 🙂  It is so fun to just get dressed up with my girls and have a lot of laughs.  We are already keeping our eyes out for the perfect dresses for next year!
